Student Facing Charges After Threats At Rockville High School
A boy is facing charges after an incident at Rockville High School Wednesday, police said.

VERNON, CT — Vernon Police have charged what they are calling "a juvenile" in connection with an incident that occurred at Rockville High School Wednesday.
The boy made "threats of violence" and was taken into custody by police at Rockville High School.
The boy, whose name is not being released by police, is facing charges that include first-degree threatening and second-degree breach of peace.

He will appear in Rockville Juvenile court later this month, police said. Police at first did not say whether the boy was a student at the high school, but later confirmed he was.
The case remains under investigation and Vernon police are working collaboratively with school system administrators to investigate the incident, a police spokesman said.

"The Vernon Police Department and Vernon Public Schools work together to ensure school safety. Threats of violence will be investigated fully and anyone with information is urged to call Vernon Police at 860-872-9126," authorities said.
