1 Killed In Wrong-Way Crash On I-91 In Wallingford: State Police
The driver of an SUV crashed head-on with another vehicle after crossing the center median Thursday morning on I-91, according to police.

WALLINGFORD, CT — A New York woman was killed in a wrong-way crash after her vehicle crossed the center median and went into oncoming traffic on I-91 North in Wallingford on Thursday morning, according to Connecticut State Police.
The crash happened around 8:10 a.m. near Exit 15 on I-91 North.
The driver of a 2019 Hyundai Sonata Sport was traveling in the left lane of three on I-91 North just south of Exit 15, according to police.

Police said Sharoya Joan Hall, 39, of New York, was driving her 2017 Chevrolet Equinox in the left lane of three on I-91 South just south of Exit 15 when the SUV left the road and went into the grass center median.
The Chevrolet crossed into the left lane of I-91 North and collided head-on with the Hyundai, according to police. After impact, the Hyundai came to a “position of uncontrolled final rest” facing south in the center and right lane, police said.

Police said the Chevrolet rolled over and came to a “position of uncontrolled final rest” in the road.
The driver of the Hyundai, a Killingworth woman, was hospitalized with suspected minor injuries, according to police.
Hall was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
