Police arrested three teens after a pursuit during the early morning hours Tuesday. A fourth suspect got away and possibly stole another car

WALLINGFORD, CT — Three Hartford residents were arrested after crashing in a stolen vehicle while trying to elude police early Tuesday morning in Wallingford. An 18-year-old and two juveniles were taken into custody and a fourth suspect got away and possibly stole another car in town, according to police.

At about 2:45 a.m. on April 30, a Wallingford patrol officer saw a white Ford Escape stopped at a light at the intersection of Washington Street and Quinnipiac Avenue. A check of the registration plate showed that it had been stolen out of Newington, according to Lt. Cheryl Bradley.

“The officer attempted to pull over the vehicle at which time the operator engaged the officer in a pursuit,” Bradley wrote in a press release. “The pursuit ended when the operator crashed while attempting to enter the northbound ramp to Route 15. One of the suspects was caught after a short foot pursuit and two others were caught a short time later when a Wallingford resident reported seeing two males walking down her street. One occupant escaped.”
