8 Vehicles Stolen Over Past Month In Wallingford: Police

Multiple car burglaries have recently been reported and police say in at least two cases the suspects drove head-on at officers to get away.

WALLINGFORD, CT — Police are reminding residents to lock their vehicles after receiving reports of eight vehicles stolen and more than a dozen car burglaries over the past month.

Police have investigated 16 reports of thefts from vehicles and eight vehicles have been stolen, according to Police Chief William Wright.

In many of the incidents, Wright said police confronted the suspects as they were stealing the items from vehicles. In at least two instances, the suspects have driven head-on at officers to avoid being taken into custody, according to Wright.
