Road Closures Announced For Memorial Day Parade In Wallingford
Wallingford police announce several road closures that will be in effect for the Memorial Day Parade.
WALLINGFORD, CT — Wallingford police have announced several road closures that will be in effect during the Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 25.
The day will begin with a ceremony at Dutton Park on North Main Street, starting promptly at 9 a.m., honoring the brave men and women who have served and sacrificed for the country. The parade will step off immediately following the ceremony.
The following road closures will be in effect for the ceremony and parade:

From approximately 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.:
- North Main Street, from the intersection of Cedar Street and Maplewood Avenue to the intersection of North Street.
From approximately 8 a.m. to 12 noon:

- South Main Street, from the intersection of Center Street to the intersection of Prince Street.
From approximately 9 a.m. to 12 noon:
- North Main Street, from the intersection of North Street to the intersection of Center Street.
- South Main Street, from the intersection of Prince Street to the intersection of Ward Street.
- Prince Street, from the intersection of South Main Street to the intersection of South Whittlesey Avenue.
Parking Restrictions:
Temporary no parking zones will be in place along the parade route.
“These restrictions will be clearly posted in advance,” police wrote in a news release. “Vehicles parked in violation will be ticketed and may be towed at the owner's expense.
“We appreciate the community’s cooperation and encourage residents and visitors to plan accordingly.”
