Al Capone Drives Off, Drags Officer: Report
The Wallingford resident, 76, faces several charges after he allegedly grew frustrated at police who were giving directions to a motorist.

Albert Capone, 76, of Pilgrim’s Harbor in Wallingford is accused of yelling obscenities at police officers and he allegedly drove off while an officer’s hand was stuck inside Capone’s vehicle, the Meriden Record-Journal reports.
The officer was dragged a short distance, the Record Journal reports. The incident occurred Monday near South Cherry and Carlton streets.
Originally, Capone grew agitated when a car stopped in front of him and asked officers for directions, police said. He is charged with breach of peace, interfering with police and failure to obey the signal of a police officer.
