Annual Stuff-A-Cruiser Event A Success In Wallingford
Wallingford Police recently held the fourth annual "Stuff-A-Cruiser Event" at Stop & Shop.

WALLINGFORD, CT — Wallingford Police collected nearly 850 pounds of food during the fourth annual “Stuff-A-Cruiser Event” at Stop & Shop, 930 North Colony Road, on Friday, Nov. 16. At that time, 846 pounds of nonperishable food and $257 in cash was donated by the public and taken to Masters’ Manna by police, according to Sgt. David Blythe, Community Police Division Supervisor.
In further collaboration with Stop & Shop, additional food was collected and on Tuesday, Nov. 20, Wallingford’s Community Police Officers loaded and transported approximately 3,000 pounds of additional food, donated by the public, to Masters’ Manna for distribution, Blythe said. Masters’ Manna is located at 428 South Cherry Street and serves the Wallingford-Meriden area.
“On behalf of the Wallingford Police Department and Stop & Shop, we would like to thank our Community and everyone that donated to this cause for their overwhelming generosity,” Blythe said. “We wish everyone a safe and Happy Holiday Season.”
