‘Back To The Future’ Car Coming To Wallingford Jubilee Parade

The DeLorean, which is endorsed by Michael J. Fox as a fundraiser for Parkinson's disease, will be at the town's 350th parade celebration.

WALLINGFORD, CT — The 350 Jubilee Parade Committee has booked the DeLorean time machine from the “Back to the Future” movies for the June 20, 2020 parade, officials announced this week. The car is endorsed by Michael J. Fox, who famously played Marty McFly in the trilogy, as an exhibit to raise funds for Parkinson’s disease, according to parade chairperson John Sullivan.

“The DeLorean will make its way from South Carolina to Wallingford and be available after the Parade for Back to the Future Fans to have their photo taken in it with all proceeds going to finding a cure for Parkinson's Disease,” according to a post on the committee’s Facebook page.

The parade is one of several celebrations the committee is planning to mark the 350th anniversary of Wallingford’s founding.
