Bagged Leaf Collection Begins Soon In Wallingford

If you haven't bagged up your leaves yet, there's still time before the town begins its annual collection. Let's hope the snow melts soon...

WALLINGFORD, CT — Provided there is no snow covering the ground, this weekend is the perfect time to bag up your leaves because the town is beginning its annual leaf collection on Monday, Nov. 19. Starting on Monday, the Public Works Department will begin a one-time pickup of bagged leaves (no brush) collected from Wallingford residences.

All bagged leaves must be placed at the curb in paper leaf bags no later than Sunday, Nov. 18, according to town officials. Residents may use masking tape or painters tape to close the bag, however, duct tape is not accepted. Read more from the Public Works Department below:

This is a ONE-TIME pickup of LEAVES ONLY. Brush, trash or garden waste will not be accepted. Residents who miss the pickup can take leaves to the Compost Area (157 John Street) at no charge.
