Blizzard Over, Winter Storm Warning in Effect for Wallingford

Wallingford's updated weather outlook.

The Blizzard Warning that was supposed to be in effect until Tuesday night has been canceled and the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Wallingford until 7 p.m.

The NWS urges caution for traveling due to extremely dangerous conditions and Gov. Dannel P. Malloy said he will lift the state’s travel ban at 2 p.m. after all state roads have received a second treatment.

It certainly looks like we dodged a bullet, with about 10-12 inches of snow reported in the area, much better than the 20-30 inches that was predicted to be dumped on the area.
