Car Dealership Flooded In Wallingford After Crash

A car struck a nearby fire hydrant and flooded the dealership's parking lot.

WALLINGFORD, CT — A car dealership in Wallingford was flooded Thursday morning and 25 cars sustained possible damage after a car struck a nearby fire hydrant, according to multiple reports, including NBC Connecticut.

NBC reports the crash occurred at about 1:30 a.m. and sent water into the parking lot of the Audi dealership on Route 5. The crash led to a sinkhole in the area.

There were no reported injuries and the dealership is open for business, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.
