A 17-year-old was arrested after police say he was caught driving a stolen vehicle and was in the possession of stolen credit cards.

WALLINGFORD, CT — A Wolcott teen was arrested early Monday morning after police say he was found driving a stolen vehicle and was in the possession of two stolen credit cards. At about 12:50 a.m. on Sept. 10, police pulled over a 2010 Ford Edge on North Colony Road in the area of Neal Road. The vehicle was reported stolen out of Manchester on Sept. 9, according to Lt. Cheryl Bradley.

Bradley said police determined that the driver was a 17-year-old runaway from Wolcott and he had two stolen credit cards in his backpack. One of the credit cards belonged to the registered owner of the Ford Edge, according to Bradley. To sign up for Wallingford breaking news alerts and more, click here.
