Celebrate Wallingford 2022: Here's What You Need To Know

Wallingford's two-day event, featuring food, activities and entertainment, will be held this weekend.

WALLINGFORD, CT — While remnants of Hurricane Ian are expected to bring rain to Connecticut on Saturday, the Celebrate Wallingford event will go on – rain or shine, according to organizers.

The Celebrate Wallingford event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1 and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 2 and is located at Main Street and Center Street.

The two-day event features food vendors, activities for the kids, entertainment, business vendors, craft booths and more.

The Fishbein/YMCA Road Race is part of the celebration on Sunday, Oct. 2. The road race will start at approximately 9 a.m., commencing at the Wallingford YMCA Eastside Branch located at 81 South Elm Street and end on South Main Street near its intersection with Prince Street.

Registration for the event is only available online and will remain open until 8:30 am on race day, according to organizers. Read more details about the race here.
