Christmas Tree Collection Schedule Announced In Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT — If you haven't taken the ornaments off your Christmas tree yet, there's still time to take advantage of the town's annual Christmas tree collection. The Public Works Department will begin picking up natural Christmas trees in all sections of town beginning Monday, Jan. 8. Residents must have Christmas ready trees to be picked up at the curbside no later than Sunday, Jan. 7, according to the Public Works Department. Read more of the town’s guidelines below:

Trees must be clean of ornaments, bows, tinsel, etc. No plastic bags or wreaths will be picked up. This is a one-time pickup. If residents miss the deadline, trees may be taken to the Wallingford Compost Area at no charge.

Wallingford residents may recycle their natural Christmas trees at the Compost Area on John Street on Monday, Thursday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Saturday, Jan. 13.

Trees must be brought to the Compost Center by Jan. 13. The Compost Area will be CLOSED from Jan. 15 to March 15, reopening Thursday, March 15.
