Community Rallies Around Connecticut Children Struck by Tragedy
A GoFundMe account has been launched on behalf of two Wallingford middle school students and their older brother whose parents passed away.

A Connecticut community is rallying around a family struck by tragedy.
Two students at Dag Middle School in Wallingford, Sara and Joshua Schenk, recently lost their mother, Rachel Schenk, and their father also passed away a few years ago.
Sara, an eighth grader, and Joshua, a sixth grader, are finishing out the school year and staying with their older brother (Chandler, 21) before moving out to Arizona in July where they will live with a family friend.

A GoFundMe account has been launched for a trust fund on behalf of the children.
“As these children are now in need, close family friends are taking these kids in as their own. This fund will be used for their care and education,” writes Ken Hosch, who created the account on May 23. “Nothing can replace what has been lost, but we can still provide help and care. Please help us as we ensure a bright, future full of possibility and happiness for these incredible kids.”
