Community Shows Support in 'Save the Dome' Rally
Fans of the Oakdale Theatre continue to support the music venue after Wallingford's cease-and-desist order was upheld.

In the latest show of support for the Oakdale Theatre in its ongoing dispute with the town regarding the cease-and-desist order, about 50 people attended a “Save the Dome” rally in downtown Wallingford on Saturday.
The rally was held by the town’s gazebo in front of the old railroad station.
The rally was organized by Jeannine Kremzar, who told the Meriden Record-Journal she was pleased with the turnout and was glad some in the community were rallying to change the minds of town officials.

The Toyota Oakdale Theatre and The Dome at Oakdale remain open for business. All shows currently on sale will play as planned. We will be putting new shows on sale – and they will also play. In addition – we are in the process of booking more shows for both the theatre and The Dome.
We expect to have an agreement with the Town of Wallingford and it’s Planning & Zoning Committee in the future. One thing everyone IS in agreement with – is to keep the Oakdale open.
Jim Koplik – President – Live Nation CT
Janis Small, Wallingford’s corporation counsel, emphasized to the Record-Journal that the town is not trying to shut down the Oakdale and is working toward a resolution.
