Couple Caught Selling Heroin in Wallingford: Police
Wallingford Police arrested the couple following a month-long investigation and interrupted an apparent drug deal on Thursday: BREAKING
WALLINGFORD, CT — Two Southington residents have been charged with selling heroin in Wallingford after police interrupted an apparent drug deal on Thursday.
During the month of August, the Wallingford Police Department learned that the suspects were coming from Southington and selling heroin in Wallingford, specifically in the Meadow Street area, according to Lt. Michael Colavolpe.
“With the use of a confidential informant, arrangements were made on several occasions during the months of August and September to purchase heroin from these subjects,” Colavolpe said in a press release.

The suspects were identified as Lynze Khan, 23 of Teri Court in Southington, and her boyfriend, Michael Badgley, 28, of Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike, Southington.
On Sept. 15, Wallingford Police Detectives saw Khan and Badgley in the area of Meadow Street.

“In addition to having active arrest warrants for both subjects, detectives saw what they believed to be a narcotics transaction about to take place,” Colavolpe said.
Detectives took Khan and Badgley into custody and found Khan to be in possession of 56 bags of heroin and approximately $300 in cash, according to Colavolpe.
Khan was charged with five counts of sales of narcotics, six counts of possession of narcotics, three counts of conspiracy to sell narcotics, and one count of criminal attempt to sell narcotics. Khan was released on a $50,000 bond.

Badgley was charged with two counts of sales of narcotics, two counts of possession of narcotics, three counts of conspiracy to sell narcotics, and one count of criminal attempt to sell narcotics. Badgley, who has previous convictions for sale of narcotics and illegal sale of an assault weapon, was released on a $100,000 bond.
Khan and Badgley are scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Sept. 29.
As a result of the investigation more than 150 bags of heroin were seized, according to Colavolpe.
