Crack Cocaine Seized During Traffic Stop: Wallingford Police

Police say a woman was found to be in the possession of 23 bags of crack cocaine that were packaged for sale during the traffic stop.

WALLINGFORD, CT — A Hamden woman was arrested after police say she was found to be in the possession of cocaine and marijuana during a traffic stop in Wallingford. At about 1:20 p.m. on March 15, police conducted a traffic stop on Hall Avenue in which the driver, identified as Heather Skinner, was having an exchange with another motorist, according to police.

Police said the registration marker on the 2018 Nissan Altima that Skinner was operating was actually registered to a different vehicle, which led to the motor vehicle stop. While police were speaking with Skinner, an officer smelled the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle and a search of the vehicle and its occupants ensued, according to police.

During the search, police found 23 mini zip-lock baggies containing approximately 4.0 grams of crack cocaine packaged for sale, approximately 4.3 grams of marijuana, and packaging material consisting of approximately 75 new/empty mini zip-lock baggies.
