Update: Two Killed in Separate Crashes on I-91 South in Wallingford
Back-to-back crashes had closed the highway earlier in the day.

Update 7 p.m.: Both accidents reported on I-91 South in Wallingford proved fatal Saturday morning, WTNH reports.
According to the news channel, David Sanchez, 51, of North Haven died after his car became wedged under a tractor-trailer and then caught on fire around 6:30 a.m.
In a separate crash, Steven Baez, 26, of the Bronx was killed after a crash that occurred around 2:20 a.m.. According to WTHN, he was in the backseat of a Nissan that hit a CRV that went airborne and flipped.

According to NBC, a tractor-trailer and a car were involved in a crash where the car became wedged under the trailer and caught on fire. No details were available on the second crash.
The right lane is open, NBC Connecticut reports. The left and center lanes remain closed.
