Driver Had Machete In Car: Wallingford Police
A man was charged with having a nearly two-foot long machete in the car after being pulled over for not wearing his seatbelt.

A traffic stop in Wallingford led to the discovery of a nearly two-foot long machete in the car and the arrest of the driver, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.
The Record-Journal reports Carlos A. Rivera, 28, of Meriden, was arrested after a Wallingford police officer observed him driving without a seatbelt on.
During the stop, the officer detected the smell of marijuana which led to the search of the car and the discovery of the machete.
