Drug Dealer Had Daughter, 10, With Him: Wallingford Police
Police say the man had his 10-year-old daughter in the car with him when he was found with crack cocaine that was packaged for sale.
WALLINGFORD, CT — A suspected drug dealer had his 10-year-old daughter in the car with him when he was found to be in the possession of crack cocaine and was arrested Friday in Wallingford, according to police.
Keir Jones, 49, of Huntington Street in New Haven, was arrested Dec. 6 in the area of Pilgrims Harbor in Wallingford after a traffic stop, according to Sgt. Brian Nowek. An investigation by the Narcotics Division determined that Jones had been selling crack cocaine in Wallingford, Nowek said.
Jones was found to be in possession of seven bags of crack cocaine individually packaged for sale with a total weight of approximately ¼ ounce along with $1,000 in cash and drug packaging materials, according to Nowek. His 10-year-old daughter was also in the car with him.

Jones was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell and risk of injury to a minor. Jones was held on a $10,000 bond and will be arraigned at Meriden Superior Court on Dec. 20.
