DUI Arrests on the Rise in Wallingford: Report

Wallingford Police are cracking down on impaired drivers and the department made 120 more DUI arrests in 2015 than the previous year, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.

The Record-Journal reports DUI arrests have been on the rise in recent years in Wallingford. The department made 286 DUI arrests in 2015, while there 166 arrests in 2014 and 142 in 2013.

Police told the Record-Journal that the increase is not necessarily due to more impaired drivers on the road, but rather because of more aggressive enforcement and more police training.
