Election 2016 Results: Wallingford Vote Totals for President, U.S. Senate and Local Races

WALLINGFORD, CT — While Hillary Clinton collected Connecticut’s 7 electoral votes in the presidential election on Tuesday, voters in Wallingford preferred Donald Trump by a margin of 10,940 to 10,651.
In Wallingford, Trump earned 48.3 percent of the vote compared to Clinton’s 47.05 percent, while Gary Johnson earned 716 votes, or 3.1 percent, and Jill Stein received 301 votes or 1.3 percent.
In the race for U.S. Senate, Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., amassed 13,327 votes on multiple lines and his opponent Dan Carter, a Republican, received 7,993 votes in Wallingford.

In the 3rd U.S. Congressional race, Democratic incumbent Rosa DeLauro received 13,618 votes on multiple lines while Republican Angel Cadena collected 7,960 votes in Wallingford.
Republican Len Fasano ran unopposed in the 34th Senatorial District and received 16,026 total votes on multiple party lines in Wallingford.

In the 85th State House District, longtime Democratic incumbent Mary Mushinsky defeated Republican Serge Mihaly 5,553 to 4,141.
In the 86th State House District, five-term Republican incumbent Vincent Candelora won another term by defeating Petitioning candidate Vincent J. Mase. Candelora collected 598 total votes in Wallingford compared to 35 for Mase.
In the 90th District, Wallingford town councilman Craig Fishbein defeated Democrat Patrick Reynolds for the seat of longtime Democratic legislator Mary Fritz, who passed away in July.
Fishbein finished with 4,908 total votes in Wallingford and Reynolds received 3,449.
In the 103rd State House District, Democrat Liz Linehan defeated Republican Andrew Falvey in a tight vote that has triggered an automatic recount. Linehan currently holds a 5,471 to 5,417 lead.
In Wallingford, Linehan received 1,109 votes and Falvey finished with 912.
Democrat Betty Torre received 9,382 votes and Republican Chet Miller received 11,180 votes for registrar of voters.
