Future Of Community Pool In Wallingford In Doubt: Report

WALLINGFORD, CT — This summer figures to be a key point in deciding the future of the Wallingford Community Pool and whether or not it will open beyond this year, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.

The Record-Journal reports that the pool is in need of repairs and officials are considering several options, including paying for a new pool or permanently closing the pool and repurposing the property. (To sign up for Wallingford breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

Attendance at the pool has been dwindling in recent years and officials will use this summer’s attendance to help determine the feasibility of a new pool or the cost of renovations, according to the Record-Journal.
