Gas Station Store Robbed At Knifepoint In Wallingford: Police

Police are asking for help with identifying the suspect.

WALLINGFORD, CT — A gas station convenience store was robbed at knifepoint Monday night in Wallingford, according to police.

Police responded to In and Out Mart at 305 Main Street around 8 p.m. on the report of a knifepoint robbery, according to Sgt. Stephen Jaques.

Officers were unable to find the robber, who got away with an undetermined amount of cash from the register, Jaques said.

No injuries were reported.

Jaques said a man entered the store and walked around like he was shopping, then approached the clerk and brandished a knife. He then instructed the clerk to open the cash register and told the clerk to kneel on the ground, according to Jaques.

The robber then ran out of the store.

Wallingford Police K-9 Tate assisted with the investigation, and the Detective Division has taken over the case, according to Jaques.

Police are asking for help with identifying the suspect pictured in the store’s surveillance images.
