Guns, $12K In Heroin Found In Car; 3 Arrested: Wallingford Police

A traffic stop led to the arrest of three people after police say they found about 2,400 bags of heroin and two loaded guns inside the SUV.

WALLINGFORD, CT — A traffic stop led to the arrest of three people after officers found about 2,400 bags of heroin and two loaded guns inside the vehicle, according to police. An officer saw a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer driving on Yale Avenue with a defective taillight around 8 p.m. on Feb. 3, according to Sgt. Jason Haberski.

During the traffic stop, the officer saw marijuana in plain view inside the vehicle. Police also found two loaded guns and about 2,400 bags of heroin with a street value of $12,000, according to Haberski. Police also seized cell phones and about $1,500 in cash.

The driver, 53-year-old Walter Whitlock of Stanley Street in New Britain, was arrested on two counts of weapons in a motor vehicle, two counts of criminal possession of a firearm, two counts of conspiracy to commit criminal possession of a firearm and one count each of possession of narcotics with the intent to sell, possession of marijuana less than ½ ounce, drug paraphernalia, possession of heroin more than one ounce, conspiracy to commit possession of narcotics with intent to sell, conspiracy to commit possession of heroin more than one ounce and improper tail lamps. He was released on a $50,000 bond with a court date of Feb. 18.

Christiane Flores, 32, of Dwight Street in New Britain, was arrested on two counts of criminal possession of a firearm, two counts of conspiracy to commit criminal possession of a firearm and one count each of possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of heroin more than one ounce, conspiracy to commit possession of narcotics with intent to sell and conspiracy to commit possession of heroin more than one ounce. She was held on a $25,000 bond with a court date of Feb. 18.

Victor Flores, 35, of Dwight Street in New Britain, was arrested on two counts of criminal possession of a firearm, two counts of conspiracy to commit criminal possession of a firearm and one count each of possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of heroin more than one ounce, possession of marijuana less than ½ ounce, conspiracy to commit possession of narcotics with intent to sell and conspiracy to commit possession of heroin more than one ounce. He was held on a $50,000 bond with a court date of Feb. 18.
