Wallingford Police Seek Liquor Store Robbery Suspect

Police say the man is a suspect in the robbery of a liquor store in which he is accused of grabbing money out of the cash register.

WALLINGFORD, CT — The Wallingford Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect (pictured above) in the robbery of the Goodrich Package Store over the weekend.

Police responded to the report of a robbery at the store, located at 312 Quinnipiac Street, at about 9:10 a.m. on Saturday, June 4.

The lone female clerk opened the business at approximately 9 a.m. and shortly thereafter, a white male entered and browsed the aisles, according to Lt. Michael Colavolpe.

Colavolpe said a few minutes later, the man went to purchase a bottle of liquor and as the clerk opened the register, the suspect forcefully grabbed the register and pulled it toward him.

The man proceeded to take the money out of the drawer and ran out of the store.

Although shaken up, the clerk was not harmed and no weapons were displayed, Colavolpe said.

The suspect is described as a white male with a goatee and appears to have tattoos on both his arms. He left the area in an older black pickup truck northbound toward Route 150, according to Colavolpe.
