Heroin Dealer Nabbed After Traffic Stop: Wallingford Police

Police said the suspect was traveling from Hartford specifically to sell heroin.

WALLINGFORD, CT — A Hartford man faces several charges after police say he was traveling to Wallingford specifically to sell heroin.

Members of the Wallingford Police Department’s Detective and Narcotics Divisions arrested Felix Sierra, 27, of New Britain Avenue in Hartford, following a traffic stop on Dec. 12.

An investigation conducted by the Narcotics Division revealed that Sierra traveled from Hartford to Wallingford specifically to sell heroin, according to Sgt. Brian Nowek.

Nowek said Sierra was intercepted by investigators via a motor vehicle stop on South Colony Road in Wallingford prior to conducting any narcotics related transactions. Fifty bags of heroin and more than 1 ounce of marijuana was seized during the investigation.

Sierra was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, interfering with an officer, and operation of a motor vehicle with tinted windows.

Sierra was released after posting a $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at Meriden Superior Court on Jan. 4, 2017.
