Historic Victorian Becomes Home To Wallingford Boutique

The popular women's boutique is celebrating the grand opening of its new home in a historic Victorian this weekend in Wallingford.

WALLINGFORD, CT — The Dressing Room Boutique store is celebrating the grand opening of its new location this weekend in Wallingford.

The women’s boutique has relocated from its original location in downtown Wallingford to “The Dressing Room Haus” in a historic Victorian home at 7 South Elm St. The boutique will open the doors to its new home from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15.

“This 130-year-old Victorian has been lovingly restored to its prior beauty and features original marble fireplaces, carved woodwork, and stained glass,” according to a news release. “A first of its kind in the state of Connecticut, the space offers multi levels of shopping and a vast front porch for events. In the new location, The Dressing Room Haus will continue to deliver an experience and space where women can freely and without judgement discover fashions for all ages, body types and social functions.”

The Dressing Room is owned by mother and daughter team Christine Rinere and Lyndsay Rinere.

“Together they have expanded the original location, opened a store in Madison and evolved a strong online presence,” according to the news release. “They and their team are dedicated to the store motto, ‘Enter as strangers and leave as friends.’
