The councilman announced he won't seek another term this fall.
WALLINGFORD, CT — Longtime Republican Councilman John LeTourneau has announced that he will not seek re-election to another term this fall, according to the New Haven Register.
LeTourneau, a local business owner who has served on the council for 12 years, told the Register that his wife wants to retire and they want to travel and pursue other interests.
Christina Tatta, vice chair of the Wallingford Republican Town Committee, plans to run for LeTourneau’s seat and will compete in next month’s convention to be on the ballot in November, according to the Register.
