Man, 72, Masturbated While Watching Kids At Bus Stop: Wallingford Police

WALLINGFORD, CT — A 72-year-old Wallingford man was arrested after police say he was seen masturbating outside of his home in plain view of children waiting at a bus stop. The father of an 11-year-old girl reported to police on Sept. 26 that a man living in the 1000 block of Yale Avenue had been acting suspiciously for several weeks, according to Lt. Cheryl Bradley.

The father told police that on several occasions, the man stood outside behind either a tarp or open car door and appeared to be masturbating while watching the children at the bus stop, according to Bradley.

“On Sept. 27, the father obtained video showing the male subject masturbating while standing outside of his residence in plain view of the two children at the bus stop,” Bradley wrote in a press release. “On this occasion, he made no attempt to conceal the activity behind an object.”

After reviewing the video, Wallingford Police went to the address and arrested Edward Buijnarowski. In an interview, Buijnarowski acknowledged to police that he could see the kids across the street as he masturbated and that he has done this two to three times, according to Bradley.

Buijnarowski was charged with two counts of risk of injury to a minor, second-degree breach of peace and public indecency. He was released after posting a $2,500 bond and is due in Meriden Superior Court on Oct. 11.
