Man Accused of Punching Bar Employees, Spitting in Wallingford Police Officer's Eye: Report
The man reportedly needed to be subdued by multiple officers while being taken into custody.

WALLINGFORD, CT – A Meriden man is accused of punching two employees at Jake’s Tavern on Center Street and also allegedly spit in the eye of a Wallingford police officer while in custody at police headquarters, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.
The Record-Journal reports Wayne Cruz, 41, of 122 Charles Street, was arrested shortly after midnight on Friday outside of the bar.
Cruz was subdued by multiple police officers while being taken into custody, according to the Record-Journal.
