Man Assaulted Woman, Gets Arrested In Wallingford: North Haven PD
The man, accused of brutally assaulting a woman in North Haven, was caught by police after running from his disabled car in Wallingford.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A man accused of assaulting a woman on a front lawn in North Haven was arrested early Wednesday morning after police caught him running from his disabled car in Wallingford. At about 1 a.m. on Wednesday, North Haven Police responded to a Peters Lane home on the report of an assault taking place in the front yard of a residence.
A witness told police a man was sitting on top of a woman and punching her several times. When the witness called police, the man got into his vehicle and rammed the victim’s car before driving away, according to North Haven Police. Police said the victim suffered a broken nose, broken jaw, a concussion and severe bruising to her face. The suspect was later found running from his disabled car in Wallingford, according to police.

“We would like to thank the Wallingford Police and the Connecticut State Police for assistance in this investigation,” police said.
Scott Macri, 37, was arrested on charges of second-degree assault, risk of injury to a minor, criminal mischief and breach of peace. He was held on bond and was scheduled to be arraigned in Meriden Superior Court on Wednesday morning.
