Man Assaults Officers, Gets Subdued With Taser: Wallingford PD

Two men were arrested after a passenger attempted to flee during a traffic stop in which the driver was charged with DUI, a report states.

WALLINGFORD, CT — A Berlin man is accused of assaulting officers while attempting to flee during a traffic stop in Wallingford, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.

The Record-Journal reports Romell James, 30, of Berlin Turnpike, was taken into custody after police subdued him with a Taser. James was a passenger in a vehicle operated by Scott Rametta, 42, of Bradley Street in New Britain.

Rametta was arrested for driving under the influence and other related charges, according to the Record-Journal.
