Man Caught Selling Cocaine Outside Of Home: Wallingford Police
Police had been investigating the man for several months.

WALLINGFORD, CT — A Wallingford man was arrested after police say he was caught selling cocaine outside of his home on Thursday. Police have been investigating the suspect, 54-year-old Manuel “Manny” Goncalves, over the past several months, according to Lt. Michael Colavolpe.
Colavolpe said Goncalves, of Washington Street, was suspected of selling cocaine in town and has previously been arrested for narcotic sales. As a result of the investigation, a search warrant was obtained for Goncalves and his residence.
Goncalves was seen by detectives conducting a drug transaction outside his home on Jan. 18, according to Colavolpe. After the transaction, Goncalves was taken into custody without incident. He was found to be in possession of 11 bags of cocaine packaged for sales along with cash, according to Colavolpe

Colavolpe said an additional bag of cocaine was found inside Goncalves’ residence. Wallingford Police Department K-9 Tate assisted with the search.
Goncalves was charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell and possession of narcotics. He was released on a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at Meriden Superior Court on Feb. 1.
