Man Charged In Knifepoint Robberies In Wallingford: Police

The man is accused of robbing two gas stations at knifepoint in Wallingford, according to police.

WALLINGFORD, CT — A Meriden man has been arrested in connection with two knifepoint robberies in Wallingford last October, according to police.

Police investigated two separate knifepoint robberies that happened Oct. 4 and Oct. 10 at In and Out Mart, 305 Main St., and Gulf Gas Station, at 1195 North Colony Rd., according to Sgt. Stephen Jaques.

Jaques said Wallingford detectives, with assistance from the Meriden and Southington police departments, developed probable cause that Edgardo Colon-Rosa was responsible for the crimes.

Colon Rosa, 31, was arrested Feb. 24 on a warrant and charged with two counts each of first-degree robbery and third-degree larceny. He was being held in lieu of bonds totaling $500,000 with a court date of April 6, according to state judicial records.
