Man Charged with Leading Wallingford Police on High-Speed Chase Makes Plea Deal
The charges stem from an incident in which a resident returned home to find two people sleeping in his parking space and a wild scene ensued

A Colchester man charged with stealing a car and leading police on a high-speed chase through Wallingford in April has accepted a plea deal, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.
The Record-Journal reports Sean Carey, 22, was sentenced to five years in prison, suspended after 11 months, and three years of probation.
The charges stem from an April 27 incident in which a Danny’s Way resident called police around 1:20 a.m. after finding a man and a woman sleeping inside a car that was in his assigned parking space, according to the New Haven Register.

Responding officers knocked on the window to wake them up and the man, later identified as Carey, reportedly became “frantic” and the woman, Nicole Klusek, 24, of Colchester, began yelling “go, go, go” before they took off and crashed into a police cruiser as they fled the parking lot, according to the Register.
Police ended a 10-minute pursuit by using “stop sticks” to damage the vehicle’s tires and bring it to a stop.
