Man Charged with Stealing More Than $10K from Vending Machines

The former vending machine serviceman is accused of stealing from locations throughout Greater New Haven, including Wallingford.

A Hamden man who was recently charged with stealing $3,200 from vending machines in Wallingford also has pending cases throughout the Greater New Haven area with his former company alleging he stole more than $10,000 from their vending machines, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.

The Meriden Record-Journal reports Steven Gallagher, 34, of 125 Putnam Avenue, apartment 843, in Hamden, is also accused of stealing from vending machines in Hamden, Meriden and North Haven in addition to Wallingford.

Gallagher is a former vending machine serviceman for Tomassetti Distributors in Meriden but was forced to quit after it was discovered he was stealing money from the machines, according to the Record-Journal.
