Men Burglarized Businesses, Stole ATM: Wallingford Police
Two men have been arrested in connection with burglaries, where the suspects stole an ATM and tried to steal another one, police said.
WALLINGFORD, CT — Two New Britain men have been arrested in connection with burglaries in Wallingford earlier this year, according to police.
The arrests stem from burglaries on Jan. 20 at the Valero gas station on North Turnpike Road and Alien Vape and Smoke Shop on North Colony Road, according to Officer Alex Torres.
Torres said police responded to Valero at 68 North Turnpike Rd. at 4:30 a.m. on Jan. 20 after a burglar alarm was activated. Officers found the front door shattered and an ATM was taken, according to Torres.

Shortly after at 5 a.m., police responded to another burglary occurred at Alien Vape and Smoke Shop, 970 North Colony Rd., according to Torres.
Torres said the suspects tried, but failed to take the ATM from the shop. Three suspects were seen leaving the store in a blue SUV, according to Torres.

Ethan Nieves, 22, was arrested April 14 and Alex Sierra, 31, was arrested on April 22. They were each charged with third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief, conspiracy to commit second-degree burglary, sixth-degree larceny, and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny.
Nieves was held in lieu of two $65,000 bonds with a court date of April 29. Sierra was also held in lieu of two $65,000 bonds with a court date of May 1.
“The Wallingford Police Department would like to thank the East Haven, Milford, New Britain, Southington, and Manchester Police Departments after this multi-jurisdictional joint investigation,” Torres wrote in a news release.
