Woman Caught with Stun Gun after Alleged Wallingford Shoplifting Incident: Report
The incident unfolded at a Kohl's department store.

WALLINGFORD, CT — A 34-year-old Meriden woman was found to be in possession of a stun gun after police apprehended her and an accomplice on shoplifting charges in Wallingford.
The pair allegedly stole a headset and speakers from the Kohl's on South Broad Street in Wallingford on Saturday afternoon, and after police caught up with them, Shannon Dowd was found with the stun gun, reports the Meriden Record-Journal.
Dowd was charged with with sixth-degree larceny, possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, criminal possession of a electronic defense weapon, and narcotics and other charges. Also arrested was Luis Vargas, 49, on larceny and conspiracy conspiracy charges. In addition to the stun gun, police also found a couple of small bags with cocaine residue.

Both were released after posting $1,000 bonds each, and are scheduled to appear in court next month.
