MidState Medical Center welcomes new thoracic surgeon Dr. Cristobal Alvarado to its medical staff. Dr. Alvarado is board certified and specializes in all surgery of the lung, medastinum, chest wall and esophagus. Dr. Alvarado earned his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. He completed his post-graduate training in general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery at New York University Medical Center/Bellevue Hospital. He also completed a Fellowship in cardiothoracic transplantation at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
