After earlier victories over Ledyard, Branford, and New Milford, the team now turns its attention to an Oct. 16 matchup against Hillhouse in New Haven, giving Wallingford fans plenty to cheer about.

• 83-unit affordable housing project clears a key hurdle in Wallingford (ctinsider.com) — An 83-unit mostly affordable apartment complex off Leigus Road in Wallingford just cleared a major hurdle, winning unanimous wetlands approval and moving next to Planning and Zoning review on Oct. 14. Most units would be income-restricted, with 18 supportive apartments for residents with intellectual disabilities, and the developer is proposing permanent conservation of over 11 acres of natural land.

• Wage War premiere "Silk" official music video; new album 'Landfall' out today (lambgoat.com) — Metalcore band Wage War is bringing their 'Emergency Broadcast' headlining tour to Wallingford on November 13, playing The Dome at Toyota Oakdale Theatre with We Came As Romans, Varials, and Cane Hill. The tour supports their new album Landfall, released this week, giving local fans a chance to hear the new songs live close to home.
