Motorcyclist, Passenger Hospitalized After Crash: Wallingford Police
A motorcycle passenger was seriously injured after being thrown from the motorcycle in a crash with a minivan, according to police.
WALLINGFORD, CT — A motorcyclist and a passenger were hospitalized after a crash with a minivan Sunday in Wallingford, according to police.
Police responded to 1145 North Colony Road around 7 p.m. on April 2 on the report of a crash involving a motorcycle and a minivan.
An investigation found that a 2008 Toyota Sienna, occupied by the driver and a passenger, made a left turn onto North Colony Road, from the north entrance of the Staples Plaza to travel northbound, according to Officer Alex Torres.

Torres said a Harley-Davidson motorcycle traveling north on North Colony Road, occupied by the operator and a passenger, struck the rear of the Toyota Sienna.
The operator and passenger were then thrown from the motorcycle, according to Torres.

Torres said the operator of the Harley-Davidson motorcycle sustained non-life-threatening injuries, but the passenger was seriously injured. Both were taken to the hospital by ambulance, according to Torres.
The driver of the Toyota Sienna and passenger were not injured, Torres said.
