Name Changes Considered for Wallingford Athletic Fields
Wallingford school officials are considering requests to change the names of fields at both Sheehan and Lyman Hall high schools.

WALLINGFORD, CT — Wallingford school officials are considering naming the Sheehan High School baseball field after former coach Robert Neubauer and are also considering renaming the Lyman Hall athletic complex, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.
The Record-Journal reports the Board of Education’s operations unanimously approved the Sheehan request but tabled the vote to name the Lyman Hall athletic complex after Phil Ottochian.
Principal Joseph Corso recommended that the Lyman Hall football field remain Fitzgerald Field with the complex being named in Ottochian’s honor, according to the Record-Journal.
The full Board of Education will need to vote on the requests with final approval coming from the Town Council.
