New Basketball Coach Named At Sheehan High School

WALLINGFORD, CT — A familiar face is returning to lead the Sheehan High School girls basketball team.

The Sheehan Athletic Department recently announced the hiring of Caitlyn Velez as the new head girls basketball coach.

Velez succeeds longtime Sheehan coach Mike Busillo, who retired at the end of last season.

“Caitlyn is a 2021 graduate of Sheehan where she captained Titans,” the athletic department wrote in a post on X. “She brings her tremendous enthusiasm and love of basketball back to her Alma Mater! Welcome home Caitlyn!!”
