New Mayoral Aide Appointed In Wallingford

The new appointment will succeed Joan Stave, who has served as the administrative aide to the mayor for more than 40 years.

WALLINGFORD, CT — Cori Hass has been appointed as the new administrative aide to the mayor, officials announced this week.

Hass succeeds Joan Stave, who has served in the role for more than 40 years.

Wallingford Mayor-elect Vincent Cervoni and Mayor William Dickinson Jr. selected Hass after “completion of the classified service protocols and conducting interviews with six applicants,” according to a news release from the Mayor’s Office.

“Possessing excellent communication and organization skills, Ms. Hass worked in the Wallingford Human Resources Department as a Human Resources Assistant from October 2020 until March 2023,” officials wrote in the news release. “In March 2023, Ms. Hass was appointed as the Executive Secretary in the Mayor’s Office, and is a very capable, friendly and professional resource there.”

Her education includes an Associate Degree in Business Administration.

“I am looking forward to working with Ms. Hass,” Cervoni said in a statement. “We are entrusted with providing services to the Wallingford community, and she will be a great help in our efforts to enhance our town.”
