Notre Dame Church K of C to hold Annual Festival

The Knights of Columbus Council 12289 of Notre Dame and St. Colman Churches will hold their annual Strawberry Festival & Car Show on Saturday, June 20, 2015 from 9am to 3pm in the Notre Dame Church parking lot at 280 Main Street, Durham CT. Admission is free for spectators and there is an $8.00 admission for Show Vehicles. There will be delicious strawberry shortcake, hot dogs, burgers, face painting, games, music and more. Antique trucks, cars, tractors, and motorcycles are welcome to enter. This is a family friendly event. Last year’s proceeds benefitted the Wounded Warrior Project and this year’s proceeds will assist another military non-profit organization called Honor Flight. Honor Flight, does just that; it honors America’s veterans for their sacrifice to their country by providing transportation for them to the war memorials dedicated to their service and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
