Obituary: Allan Robert 'Bob' Bilodeau, 82, Of Wallingford
Bob, a born leader, spent his entire career in the Mechanical Engineering field. He was also a member of the Italian Club and the Elks Club.

WALLINGFORD, CT - (From From Wallingford Funeral Home): Allan Robert “Bob” Bilodeau, 82, of Wallingford, loving husband of 62 years of Lena (Ferrauolo) Bilodeau, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Midstate Medical Center in Meriden.
He was born in Gardner, Massachusetts on September 25, 1938, the son of the late Raymond Bilodeau and Margaret Cross.
Bob’s lifelong career was in the Mechanical Engineering field where his strong personality, fairness in dealing with people, powerful presence and extraordinary intelligence quickly advanced him into high level management positions.

He was a born leader and was respected by all who worked for him.
Bob was liked by everyone and he was one of a kind. He was always there when someone needed him, and he always put his family over and above himself.

Bob loved his family, traveling, family get-togethers, playing cards with his friends and socializing at Chicks junkyard. He found great pleasure in attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.
He was a member of the Italian Club and the Elks Club.
Bob was an avid do-it-yourself man, be it car repair, installing a furnace, adding on additions, home remodeling, and was a master craftsman at anything he set out to do. He shared his knowledge, time (and tools) with his family freely.
Bob’s powerful presence, kindness, selflessness, and loving heart will be missed deeply. He built a wonderfully strong family and everything about him will live on through them forever.

In addition to his wife, Lena, he is survived by his daughters, Donna, Lynne and Laurie and sons-in-law, Jim and Tim; his sister, Althea; was “Poppy” to his grandchildren, Jennifer, Christine, Danielle, Brett, Justin, Carissa, and Ryan; great grandchildren, Devin, Aryana, Giovani, Carter, Marco, and Callum; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
Bob’s family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext., on Sunday, December 20, 2020 from 2 pm until 4 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Monday, December 21, 2020 directly at Most Holy Trinity Church in Wallingford.

Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford. (COVID-19 precautions will be followed and masks required at the funeral home, church and cemetery).
