Obituary: Ann E. LaRussa, 70, Of Wallingford
She taught kindergarten at Rock Hill in Wallingford for 37 years. She loved teaching, and genuinely cared about all of her students.

WALLINGFORD, CT — (From Wallingford Funeral Home): Ann E. LaRussa, 70, of Wallingford, passed away unexpectedly January 12, 2020 at her home.
She was born in New Haven on March 25, 1950, a daughter of the late Clarence and Hazel (Mottram) Dougan.
She graduated from Southern Connecticut State University where she earned her Master’s Degree in Education.

After graduation Ann began her 37-year journey teaching kindergarten at Rock Hill Elementary School in Wallingford. She loved teaching, and genuinely cared about all of her students.
Ann was one of the most caring and generous people you could meet.

Everyone always remembers their kindergarten teacher. Her family takes comfort in knowing her legacy will continue to live on in the thousands of children she taught.
She is survived by her son, Michael LaRussa and his wife, Jennifer, of Wallingford; Her two grandchildren Gregory LaRussa and Shannon Quinn, former spouse Anthony LaRussa of Wallingford, and her sister-in-law Barbara Dougan of East Hampton.
She is predeceased by her brother Charles Dougan of East Hampton.
Due to the ongoing pandemic and for the safety of family and friends, all funeral services are private. Arrangements are under the direction of The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext., Wallingford.
