Obituary: Charles Vaillancourt, 76, of Wallingford

WALLINGFORD, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Charles Vaillancourt, 76, of Wallingford, died Thursday, December 31, 2020, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

He was the beloved husband of Vickie (Brinker) Vaillancourt.

He was born in Meriden, March 30, 1944, a son of the late Alfred C. and Beatrice (Esten) Vaillancourt and was a U.S. Army Veteran.

He retired from R.F.S. Cablewave Systems in 2006 and enjoyed playing pool, gardening and cooking. He was a Life Member of the V.F.W. Post # 9965, and also belonged to the American Legion Post# 0045 and the Franco American Club.

In addition to his wife Vickie, Charles is survived by his children, Bruce Vaillancourt (Fran), Denise Dorsey (Jamie), and Billy Vaillancourt (Kelly); his grandchildren, Jacob Pavitt (Katelynn), Nicholas Pavitt, Zachary Pavitt, Riley Pavitt, Sabrina Vaillancourt and Gwen Vaillancourt; his sister, Joan Vaillancourt; his brother, David Vaillancourt (Cindi); and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother, Alfred Vaillancourt.

A graveside service with military honors will be held Thursday, January 7, 2021, at 11 am, at In Memoriam Cemetery in Wallingford. COVID precautions will be followed and masks required.
